- Built: 2026-10-20

Arcade records your product as a step-by-step demo that is quick to make and embeds anywhere. Roomi runs the product itself, on mock data, and gives each person their own link, with their visits and time on record. Choose Arcade for marketing pages and help centres; choose Roomi when a buyer should try the real thing. Every line about Arcade is from its own pages, with the day it was read. Roomi is ours.

## Where Roomi is different

- Roomi runs your actual build, not a recording, so every button works
- Each viewer gets their own copy of the live app, so nobody breaks it for anyone else
- You deploy it from Claude in one sentence, with nothing to capture or re-record
- Viewers comment on the screen they mean and choose what happens next

**Choose Arcade if** you want quick, embeddable demos and videos for marketing pages, help centres and social posts, rather than a private room for each buyer.

**Choose Roomi if** you’re sending a demo to specific people and want to know what each of them did.

## For letting a client try a working product, ranked

Ranked for one job: a client trying a working product, and you knowing what they did. Roomi is ours.

1. **Roomi** (ours) — your own build, running, at a private link for each person, with nothing to sign up for. You see every visit, click and minute, by name.
2. **Arcade** — best when you want quick, embeddable demos and videos for marketing pages, help centres and social posts, rather than a private room for each buyer.
3. **A screen recording** — easy to send, but they watch you use it rather than try it. Loom names a viewer only when they watch while logged in to Loom. Anyone else shows as an anonymous view.
4. **Screenshots in a deck** — no setup at all, and nothing to click. A deck tells you, at best, that it was opened.

## Questions

### Is Roomi an Arcade alternative?

When the client should use the running product, yes: Roomi serves your build, with a link for each person. Choose Arcade if you want quick, embeddable demos and videos for marketing pages, help centres and social posts, rather than a private room for each buyer.

### Is Arcade free?

Arcade’s Free plan is for one user and publishes one demo, with unlimited views and no viewer insights. Insights and Audience Reveal start on its Growth plan. On Roomi, Free deploys static demos and lists them on the community at one public address, with no private links.

### How much does Arcade cost, against Roomi?

Arcade’s Growth plan is $50 a seat a month, billed monthly, or $42.50 a seat a month, billed yearly. Roomi Pro is £4 a month, billed monthly, or £40 a year, billed yearly, before VAT.

### Do I have to record the demo again when the product changes?

On Arcade: Re-record or edit the steps that changed. On Roomi, you deploy the new build, and every link shows it on its next load.

### Does my client need a Roomi account?

No. Their link takes them straight into the room, with nothing to sign up for. The link is their key, and it carries their name.

### What does Roomi cost?

Free costs nothing: static demos, listed on the community at one public address, with total views. A private link per person and everything each person did start on Pro, at £4 a month or £40 a year, before VAT.

### Do I have to tell a client their visit is recorded?

Yes. Before or when you send the link, tell each viewer who you are and how to reach you about their data. Tell them too that Roomi records what they do in the room and shows it to you. Our terms ask for both.

### Will I hear when a client comes back?

Yes. Roomi tells you when they come back to the room, so you can call while it’s fresh.
