For someone choosing between them. Every line about DocSend is from its own pricing page, with the day it was read. Roomi is ours.

## Where Roomi is different

- Roomi tracks a working product, not a document about one
- A guided tour, and comments pinned to the screen, as well as page views
- The same person-by-person view: who opened it, who they passed it to, and what they want next
- Your PDFs and images sit in the room as pages, beside the live demo.

### Where Roomi is stronger

- **The product, not a document about it**: Viewers use the working thing, so they find out for themselves instead of reading about it.
- **A guided tour**: Roomi walks each viewer through the demo. DocSend shows the pages you uploaded.
- **Feedback on the screen**: Roomi viewers pin comments to the screen they mean.
- **A pipeline that moves itself**: Every Roomi viewer sits in a stage worked out from what they did.

### Where DocSend is stronger

- Page-by-page document analytics
- Data rooms, NDAs, watermarks and email verification on Advanced
- eSignatures built in
- $10 a month to start

**Choose DocSend if** what you’re sending is a deck, a contract or a data room, not a working product.

**Choose Roomi if** you’re sending a product and want to know what people did in it.

## For sending a client a working product, ranked

Ranked for one job: a client trying a working product, and you knowing what they did. Roomi is ours.

1. **Roomi** (ours) — your own build, running, at a private link for each person, with nothing to sign up for. You see every visit, click and minute, by name.
2. **DocSend** — best when what you’re sending is a deck, a contract or a data room, not a working product.
3. **A screen recording** — easy to send, but they watch you use it rather than try it. Loom names a viewer only when they watch while logged in to Loom. Anyone else shows as an anonymous view.
4. **Screenshots in a deck** — no setup at all, and nothing to click. A deck tells you, at best, that it was opened.

## Questions

### Is Roomi a DocSend alternative?

For a working product, yes: each viewer gets a private link to the running demo, and you see what they did in it. Choose DocSend if what you’re sending is a deck, a contract or a data room, not a working product.

### How much does DocSend cost, against Roomi?

DocSend’s Personal plan is $10 a user a month, billed yearly. Roomi Pro is £4 a month, billed monthly, or £40 a year, billed yearly, before VAT.

### Can I use both?

Yes. They do different jobs: a document in one, the running product in the other, each behind a link of its own.

### Does my client need a Roomi account?

No. Their link takes them straight into the room, with nothing to sign up for. The link is their key, and it carries their name.

### What does Roomi cost?

Free costs nothing: static demos, listed on the community at one public address, with total views. A private link per person and everything each person did start on Pro, at £4 a month or £40 a year, before VAT.

### Do I have to tell a client their visit is recorded?

Yes. Before or when you send the link, tell each viewer who you are and how to reach you about their data. Tell them too that Roomi records what they do in the room and shows it to you. Our terms ask for both.

## Fair, and dated

Every claim about another product on this page is from that product’s own pages, each read on the day beside it, the oldest on 7 October 2026. Roomi is ours, and says so. If something here is out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it the same week.
