For someone choosing between them. Every line about Storylane is from its own pricing page, with the day it was read. Roomi is ours.

## Where Roomi is different

- Roomi runs your actual build, not a recording, so every button works
- Each viewer gets their own copy of the live app, so nobody breaks it for anyone else
- You deploy it from Claude in one sentence, with nothing to capture or re-record
- Viewers comment on the screen they mean and choose what happens next

### Where Roomi is stronger

- **Your running build on every plan**: Storylane’s Starter demos are screenshots or video, with HTML capture from Growth at $500 a month. Roomi serves your build itself.
- **Private links on the £4 plan**: Roomi Pro gives every viewer a private link you can expire or revoke. Storylane lists private demo links on Enterprise.
- **Each person by name, with no monthly cap**: Roomi follows every named viewer and who they forwarded it to. Storylane’s account reveal covers 250 visitors a month on Starter.
- **A copy of the live app for each viewer**: Nobody’s clicks reach anyone else’s copy, so a viewer can try anything.
- **Cost for a team**: A team of three is £15 a month on Roomi Team, against $120 a month on Storylane Starter.

### Where Storylane is stronger

- AI video avatars, voiceovers and translations
- HubSpot on the $40 plan; Salesforce on Premium
- Personalisation, A/B testing and offline demos from Growth
- Multi-language demos and whitelabel addresses on Premium

**Choose Storylane if** you want narrated, translated click-through demos with CRM sync, and a recording of the product is enough.

**Choose Roomi if** you want each buyer in the real product, with their own link, and to see what each person did.

## For letting a client try a working product, ranked

Ranked for one job: a client trying a working product, and you knowing what they did. Roomi is ours.

1. **Roomi** (ours) — your own build, running, at a private link for each person, with nothing to sign up for. You see every visit, click and minute, by name.
2. **Storylane** — best when you want narrated, translated click-through demos with CRM sync, and a recording of the product is enough.
3. **A screen recording** — easy to send, but they watch you use it rather than try it. Loom names a viewer only when they watch while logged in to Loom. Anyone else shows as an anonymous view.
4. **Screenshots in a deck** — no setup at all, and nothing to click. A deck tells you, at best, that it was opened.

## Questions

### Is Roomi a Storylane alternative?

When you want the client in the running product, yes. Roomi serves your build itself, a copy of it for each viewer. Choose Storylane if you want narrated, translated click-through demos with CRM sync, and a recording of the product is enough.

### How much does Storylane cost, against Roomi?

Storylane’s Starter plan is $40 a month, billed yearly. Roomi Pro is £4 a month, billed monthly, or £40 a year, billed yearly, before VAT.

### Do I have to capture my product?

Not on Roomi. You deploy the build itself, from Claude or from your computer, so there is nothing to capture or re-record when it changes.

### Does my client need a Roomi account?

No. Their link takes them straight into the room, with nothing to sign up for. The link is their key, and it carries their name.

### What does Roomi cost?

Free costs nothing: static demos, listed on the community at one public address, with total views. A private link per person and everything each person did start on Pro, at £4 a month or £40 a year, before VAT.

### Do I have to tell a client their visit is recorded?

Yes. Before or when you send the link, tell each viewer who you are and how to reach you about their data. Tell them too that Roomi records what they do in the room and shows it to you. Our terms ask for both.

## Fair, and dated

Every claim about another product on this page is from that product’s own pages, each read on the day beside it, the oldest on 7 October 2026. Roomi is ours, and says so. If something here is out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it the same week.
