Roomi and Vercel, feature by feature.

### Where Roomi is stronger

- **A private room for each person**: Each Roomi viewer gets their own link, and their own copy of the app, on a demo domain kept apart from yours.
- **Who looked, and what they did**: Each person’s journey, attention and questions, and who they passed it to.
- **A guided tour and a next step**: The demo explains itself, then asks what happens next.
- **Mock data, kept apart**: Roomi demos run on mock data, on a separate domain, so nothing real is exposed to a prospect.

### Where Vercel is stronger

- Built to run production apps for everyone, at scale
- Preview deployments for every change, for your own team
- A free Hobby plan for personal projects

**Choose Vercel if** you need to run your production app for everyone.

**Choose Roomi if** you need to show a demo to particular people and hear back.

## For showing a client a demo and hearing back, ranked

Ranked for one job: a client trying a working product, and you knowing what they did. Roomi is ours.

1. **Roomi** (ours) — your own build, running, at a private link for each person, with nothing to sign up for. You see every visit, click and minute, by name.
2. **Vercel** — best when you need to run your production app for everyone.
3. **Netlify** — best when you need to host a site or app for everyone.
4. **A screen recording** — easy to send, but they watch you use it rather than try it. Loom names a viewer only when they watch while logged in to Loom. Anyone else shows as an anonymous view.

## Questions

### Is Roomi a Vercel alternative?

Not for production. Choose Vercel if you need to run your production app for everyone. Choose Roomi if you need to show a demo to particular people and hear back.

### Can I keep a Vercel deployment private for one client?

On Vercel’s Hobby plan you can create one shareable link to a protected deployment, in total, per account. On Roomi, each client has a private link of their own, which you can expire or revoke.

### How much does Vercel cost, against Roomi?

Vercel’s Pro plan is $20 a month, billed monthly, with $20 of usage included. Roomi Pro is £4 a month, billed monthly, or £40 a year, billed yearly, before VAT.

### Does my client need a Roomi account?

No. Their link takes them straight into the room, with nothing to sign up for. The link is their key, and it carries their name.

### What does Roomi cost?

Free costs nothing: static demos, listed on the community at one public address, with total views. A private link per person and everything each person did start on Pro, at £4 a month or £40 a year, before VAT.

### Do I have to tell a client their visit is recorded?

Yes. Before or when you send the link, tell each viewer who you are and how to reach you about their data. Tell them too that Roomi records what they do in the room and shows it to you. Our terms ask for both.

## Fair, and dated

Every claim about another product on this page is from that product’s own pages, each read on the day beside it, the oldest on 7 October 2026. Roomi is ours, and says so. If something here is out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it the same week.
