# What are the best Storylane and Navattic alternatives when you have the real app?

If you already have a working app, you may not need a capture of it. Storylane and Navattic record your product and wrap the recording in a tour. The alternatives are a sandbox copy from a demo tool, such as Supademo or Walnut, or the running app itself, sent in a room with a tour, as Roomi does.

This guide compares six options for someone who has the real app, ranks them for that job, and says plainly where Storylane and Navattic are stronger. We make Roomi, so weigh that. The [demo tools comparison](https://getroomi.com/compare/demo-tools) and [Roomi against Storylane](https://getroomi.com/compare/storylane) go into more detail.

| Tool | What the viewer uses | Entry price, as billed | Free plan | Who looked | A private link per person |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Storylane | Screenshots and video; HTML from Growth | Storylane’s Starter plan is $40 a month, billed yearly. | One published demo | The company behind a visit, from Starter | Enterprise |
| Navattic | An HTML capture, or media | No prices published; paid plans billed annually | One demo | The account, from Base | Not on its pricing page |
| Arcade | Screenshots; HTML capture on Enterprise | Arcade’s Growth plan is $50 a seat a month, billed monthly, or $42.50 a seat a month, billed yearly. | One demo, no insights | Audience Reveal, from Growth | Custom share links, Enterprise |
| Supademo | Screenshots and video; HTML from Business; sandbox from Growth | Supademo’s Scale plan is $50 a creator a month, billed monthly, or $38 a creator a month, billed yearly. | Five guided demos | Viewer insights and IP data, from Scale | Trackable, expiring share links, from Scale |
| Walnut | A captured copy; sandbox from Accelerate | Walnut’s Ignite plan is $575 a month, billed yearly, with three editor and three presenter seats. | None | Uncover, from Accelerate | Not on its pricing page |
| Roomi (ours) | Your running build | Pro: £4 a month billed monthly, or £40 a year, before VAT | A draft, or a public listing with total views | Each named person, from Pro | From Pro |

Each price is the vendor’s own, as its page bills it, read on 12 October 2026. The sources are listed at the foot of this page.

## Why look past a capture when you have the real app?

Because a capture shows your screens as they were recorded, and the running app behaves. A viewer in the real build sees real logic and states, takes their own path and tries their own figures. A capture is the better choice before the product exists, or when it cannot leave your own servers.

A capture also has to be redone when the product changes. A room shows the latest build to every link on its next load, and nobody’s link changes. [The demo tour script template](https://getroomi.com/guides/demo-tour-script-template) helps you write the tour that goes with it.

## The alternatives, ranked for when you have the real app

Ranked by one test: can a named prospect use your real product, and can you see what they did?

1. **Roomi (ours)** — the only one here that runs your own build on its entry paid plan, with a link for each person. It needs the app running on mock data. We make it, so read the rest with that in mind.
2. **Supademo** — sandbox demos from its Growth plan, published monthly and yearly prices, and trackable links from Scale.
3. **Walnut** — sandbox demos from Accelerate and digital sales rooms on Scale, billed yearly.
4. **Navattic** — HTML capture on every plan, sandbox demos on Growth and account identification from Base, with no prices published.
5. **Storylane** — HTML capture from Growth, and the quickest route to a narrated, translated tour. Its sandbox demos are on Enterprise.
6. **Arcade** — screenshot demos that are quick to make. HTML capture comes only on Enterprise.

## What does each alternative show the viewer?

Most show a copy of your product. Storylane, Arcade and Supademo start from screenshots and video. Navattic captures your product’s pages as HTML, and Walnut captures a copy of your product. Sandbox demos, on the higher plans of Supademo, Walnut, Navattic and Storylane, let a viewer click around more freely. A room shows your running build itself.

- **Storylane.** Storylane’s Free plan has one seat and one published demo, with unlimited views, lead capture and basic analytics. Free and Starter demos are made from screenshots and video; HTML demos start on Growth.
- **Navattic.** Navattic’s free Starter plan has one seat and one demo, captured as HTML or made from media, with unlimited views and basic analytics. Navattic’s Growth plan adds sandbox demos, demo translation, email and Slack alerts, and sales integrations including Gong, Salesloft and Outreach.
- **Arcade.** Arcade captures a product as HTML, and offers custom share links, on its Enterprise plan only.
- **Supademo.** Supademo’s guided demos are made from screenshots and video. HTML demos start on its Business plan, and clickable sandbox demos on Growth.
- **Walnut.** Walnut’s Accelerate plan, $1,550 a month billed yearly, adds sandbox demos, prospect personalisation and Walnut Uncover. Uncover identifies anonymous viewers through ZoomInfo, Demandbase, 6sense or Clearbit.
- **Roomi.** A static demo is your built files, on every plan. An app with a server is a container demo, on Pro and up. Each private link gets its own copy of it, so one viewer’s clicks never reach another’s. [Container demos](https://getroomi.com/docs/containers) has the build contract.

## What they cost

- **Storylane.** Storylane’s Starter plan is $40 a month, billed yearly.
- **Navattic.** Navattic publishes no prices for its paid plans. Base, with five seats, and Growth, with ten, are billed annually, and Enterprise is priced on request.
- **Arcade.** Arcade’s Growth plan is $50 a seat a month, billed monthly, or $42.50 a seat a month, billed yearly.
- **Supademo.** Supademo’s Scale plan is $50 a creator a month, billed monthly, or $38 a creator a month, billed yearly.
- **Walnut.** Walnut’s Ignite plan is $575 a month, billed yearly, with three editor and three presenter seats.
- **Roomi.** Free costs nothing. Pro is £4 a month billed monthly, or £40 a year, before VAT. Team is £5 a seat a month. [Pricing](https://getroomi.com/pricing) has every plan.

## What does each tell you about who looked?

Most name the company, not the person. Account reveal and similar features look up the business behind a visit. A named link tells you which person it was, because you made it for them. Roomi does no lookup at all: it keeps no IP address, browser version or location for any viewer.

- **Storylane.** Storylane’s Account Reveal names the company behind demo visits, for 250 visitors a month on Starter, 2,500 on Growth and 10,000 on Premium.
- **Navattic.** Navattic’s Base plan adds account identification, A/B testing, AI voiceovers and avatars, an MCP server, and integrations including Salesforce and Marketo.
- **Arcade.** Arcade’s Free plan publishes one demo and one video, with no viewer insights. Insights and Audience Reveal start on its Growth plan.
- **Supademo.** Supademo’s Scale plan adds viewer insights, IP and session data, and company analytics. It also adds trackable and expiring share links, and can require an email to view.
- **Walnut.** Uncover, on Accelerate, looks viewers up through outside data providers.
- **Roomi.** On Pro and up, each private link carries the name of the person you made it for. You see every visit in order, the seconds spent on each app and page, how far through the tour they got, their comments and their answer to what happens next. If they forward it, whoever opens it is asked who they are. [Analytics and the pipeline](https://getroomi.com/docs/analytics) lists every measure.

## Where Storylane and Navattic are stronger

They are built for marketing and sales teams at scale, and they do several things a room does not. If any of these is what you need, choose them.

- **Narration and translation.** Storylane’s Starter plan adds AI voiceovers and translations, alerts, HubSpot and its own MCP. Premium adds Salesforce, multi-language demos and deal rooms that hold demos, PDFs and videos.
- **Sales integrations.** Navattic connects to Salesforce and Marketo from Base, and Gong, Salesloft and Outreach on Growth. Roomi connects to a CRM only on Organisation, by arrangement.
- **No running app needed.** A capture works before the product does, or when it cannot leave your own servers. Roomi needs a build that runs on mock data.
- **No engineering at all.** You record your product and edit the result. A room needs a build: Claude or your AI agent can do that part, but someone has to have the app.
- **Company identification.** Account reveal tells you which business looked, even without a named link. Roomi never looks anyone up.

## Which should you choose?

Choose by what you have. If you have no working app yet, or need narrated, translated tours on your website, choose Storylane or Navattic. If you want a sandbox copy with an enterprise contract, look at Walnut or Supademo. If the app works and you want named prospects inside it, send it in a room.

You can use both: a Storylane tour on your website for anyone, and a room for each prospect you are working. If a recorded walkthrough is what you need, [Loom alternatives for product demos](https://getroomi.com/guides/loom-alternatives-for-product-demos) compares the video tools. [Tech sales](https://getroomi.com/use-cases/tech-sales) shows how a sales team uses a room.

When you send a link, tell the person who you are and that the room records what they do there for you to see. Say how they can reach you about their data, or point them to the [privacy policy](https://getroomi.com/privacy).

## Questions people ask

### Is there a free Storylane alternative?

Yes. Navattic, Arcade and Supademo each have a free plan, and so does Roomi. Each is small: a single demo on Navattic and Arcade, a handful on Supademo, and on Roomi a draft or a public listing with total views.

### Does Storylane offer private demo links?

Storylane lists private demo links, and sandbox demos, on its Enterprise plan, priced on request. On Roomi, a private link for each person starts on Pro, and carries that person’s name.

### Which tools identify the viewer’s company?

Storylane, Navattic, Arcade, Supademo and Walnut each offer a form of it on paid plans, from account reveal to IP data. Roomi looks nobody up: it names the person you made each link for.

### Do my viewers need an account?

Not on Roomi. A viewer opens their own link in a browser, with nothing to sign up for. The room asks whether they are the person it was made for, so a forwarded link still names everyone.

### Do I need an engineer for a live-app demo?

No, if the app already works and runs on mock data. Claude can deploy a static demo from a chat. An app with its own server needs Docker on your machine and Pro, and your AI agent does the technical part.
