Trumpet or Roomi: what do you need to show a working demo?
Trumpet is a digital sales room for running a whole deal. Roomi is a room built around one thing: your working demo, on mock data. Each person has a link of their own, with a record of their visits and time in it. Many small teams could use both. Every line about Trumpet is from its own pages, with the day it was read. Roomi is ours.
Where Roomi is different
- Your own build runs in the room, static or with a server: every button and screen works, on mock data.
- A private link for each person, with their name on it, and nothing for them to sign up for.
- Each person by name: every visit, click and minute, their time on each app and page, how far they took the tour, and who they passed it to.
- Comments pinned to the screen they meant, and a next step each viewer chooses.
- Deploy the demo, and make each person’s link, from the Claude chat you built it in.

Where Trumpet is stronger
- Trumpet’s Free plan is free for good, with 10 Pods per account, unlimited users, mutual action plans and basic analytics.
- From its Pro plan, Trumpet syncs both ways with Salesforce and HubSpot.
- Trumpet can make a unique link to a Pod for a named person, so their engagement is tracked without them entering an email.
- Trumpet’s Scale plan is $100 a user a month, billed monthly, or $1,000 a user a year, billed yearly. It adds e-signature, proposals and quotes, video and screen recording, advanced analytics, and DocuSign, PandaDoc and Gong.
- Since 23 July 2026, Trumpet’s Canvas builds an interactive widget inside a Pod from a description, such as an ROI calculator or a comparison of features.
- Trumpet says it is independently audited and certified for SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
Where Roomi is stronger
- Your own build runs in the room, rather than a tour made of it in another tool.
- Each person by name, with every visit, click and minute, and their time on each app and page.
- Comments pinned to the screen they meant, and a next step they choose: a meeting, a yes, later, a colleague, a question, or not for them.
- Deploy the demo, and make each person’s link, from the Claude chat you built it in.
For letting a buyer try a working demo, ranked
Ranked for one job: a client trying a working product, and you knowing what they did. Roomi is ours.
- Roomi (ours) — your own build, running, at a private link for each person, with nothing to sign up for. You see every visit, click and minute, by name.
- Trumpet — best when the deal has many steps and people, and the demo is a tour made in another tool. Trumpet lists Navattic, Storylane, Walnut and Arcade among its integrations, for interactive demos shown inside a Pod.
- A screen recording — easy to send, but they watch you use it rather than try it.
- Screenshots in a deck — no setup at all, and nothing to click. A deck tells you, at best, that it was opened.
Questions
- Can I put a Roomi demo in a Trumpet Pod?
- Not inside it: a Roomi room refuses to be shown in another site’s frame, so link to it instead. A Trumpet Pod can hold a button or a link to an outside address, such as a demo or a booking page. Send each person their own Roomi link rather than one in the Pod for everyone: each link carries one person’s name.
- Is Trumpet a demo tool?
- Not on its own: it is a sales room for running the deal. Trumpet lists Navattic, Storylane, Walnut and Arcade among its integrations, for interactive demos shown inside a Pod. Since 23 July 2026, Trumpet’s Canvas builds an interactive widget inside a Pod from a description, such as an ROI calculator or a comparison of features.
- Does Roomi have mutual action plans?
- No. Each viewer chooses a next step instead: a meeting, a yes, later, a colleague, a question, or not for them. If the deal needs a shared plan, keep it in your sales room and send the demo beside it.
- How much does Trumpet cost, against Roomi?
- Trumpet’s Pro plan is $45 a user a month, billed monthly, or $450 a user a year, billed yearly, for teams of up to five users. Roomi Pro is £4 a month, billed monthly, or £40 a year, billed yearly, before VAT.
- Do Trumpet and Roomi both work with Claude?
- Trumpet’s MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants create Pods and read their engagement data, and it is only on Trumpet’s Elite plan. Roomi’s connector deploys the demo and makes each person’s link from the chat you built it in.
- Does my client need a Roomi account?
- No. Their link takes them straight into the room, with nothing to sign up for. The link is their key, and it carries their name.
- What does Roomi cost?
- Free costs nothing: static demos, listed on the community at one public address, with total views. A private link per person and everything each person did start on Pro, at £4 a month or £40 a year, before VAT.
- Do I have to tell a client their visit is recorded?
- Yes. Before or when you send the link, tell each viewer who you are and how to reach you about their data. Tell them too that Roomi records what they do in the room and shows it to you. Our terms ask for both.
- Will I hear when a client comes back?
- Yes. Roomi tells you when they come back to the room, so you can call while it’s fresh.
