For a small team, the right digital sales room depends on what you send. If it’s documents and a deal plan, Trumpet, Aligned and Flowla each have a free plan with a mutual action plan. If it’s a working demo, you need a room that runs the app, with a link for each person.
This list is for a team of one to five. It compares eight sales rooms on their plans, on whether they can show a working product, and on what they tell you about who looked. We make Roomi, so weigh that: it is ranked by how well it fits this reader, not first. What a digital sales room is covers the basics, and pricing has our plans.
| Tool | Plans, from the vendor’s own page | Can it show your working product? | What it tells you about who looked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trumpet | Trumpet’s Free plan is free for good, with 10 Pods per account, unlimited users, mutual action plans and basic analytics. Trumpet’s Pro plan is $45 a user a month, billed monthly, or $450 a user a year, billed yearly, for teams of up to five users. | It embeds tours made in other tools. Trumpet lists Navattic, Storylane, Walnut and Arcade among its integrations, for interactive demos shown inside a Pod. | Trumpet shows engagement data for every Pod: who is engaging, what they are viewing and how their interest changes. Trumpet can make a unique link to a Pod for a named person, so their engagement is tracked without them entering an email. |
| Aligned | Aligned’s free Starter plan gives each user up to 4 active rooms at a time, with mutual action plans and rooms shared behind an email check and a password. Aligned’s Basic plan is $35 a seat a month, billed monthly, or $29 a seat a month, billed yearly, with unlimited rooms. | It embeds them. Aligned rooms can embed Storylane, Walnut, Navattic and Demostack demos, and Figma files and prototypes. | Not checked |
| Flowla | Flowla’s Starter plan is free, with up to 20 rooms and mutual action plans. Flowla’s Team plan is $99 a seat a month, billed monthly on a rolling basis with no minimum number of seats, with unlimited rooms and stakeholder identification. | Not checked | Stakeholder identification, on Team |
| HummingDeck | HummingDeck’s Free plan has 5 documents, 5 links and 1 deal room, with no time limit. Its paid prices were not checked: its page shows two currencies. | It hosts HTML. HummingDeck turns an uploaded HTML file or zip bundle into a browser link. Personal links, each for one recipient with its activity kept apart, start on its Starter plan. | A record for each personal link, from Starter |
| Roomi (ours) | Free: static demos, as a draft only you open or a public listing, with no private links. Pro: £4 a month billed monthly, or £40 a year, before VAT | It hosts it: static builds on every plan, and apps with a server on Pro and up | Every visit, click and minute, by name: the time on each app and page, how far they took the tour, and who each link was passed on to |
| Journey | Journey’s Start plan is $9 a user a month, billed monthly, for up to two Journeys, with password protection and visitor insights. Journey’s pricing page lists no free plan: each paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. | Not checked | Visitor insights, on Start |
| Dock | Dock has a free plan with 10 workspaces. Dock Standard is $350 a month for five users, with extra seats at $50 a month; the page does not say how Standard is billed. | It embeds your own code. Dock’s iFrame widget can be filled through its API with your own code or an HTML file, in every workspace made from a template. | Dock’s People tab shows, for each person who opens a workspace, their views of it, the actions they took and the date they last looked. |
| Pitch | Pitch’s Free plan has basic sharing links, and no advanced links or pitch rooms. Pitch’s Team plan is €15 a month for one seat, billed yearly, with 25 advanced links and two shared pitch rooms. Each plan’s price depends on the number of seats. | It embeds them in slides. Pitch slides can embed content from other sites, a Figma prototype among them. | Pitch’s advanced links track visits, slide views and the time spent on each slide: 25 of them on its Team plan, and unlimited on Business. |
| Recapped | Recapped’s pricing page says it was shutting down on 31 July 2026 and taking on no new customers. | — | — |
Each price is the vendor’s own, as its page bills it, and the sources are listed at the foot of this page. “Not checked” means we have not read that on the vendor’s own page, so this list says nothing about it.
Which digital sales room is best for a small team?
It depends on whether you send documents or a product. For documents and a deal plan, Trumpet has the fullest free plan, with Aligned and Flowla close behind. For HTML files and documents, HummingDeck hosts both. For a working demo you built, Roomi runs the app, on a link for each person, and shows where each one’s time went.
Ranked for a team of one to five, by how well each fits that team:
- Trumpet — the fullest free plan for a small team: unlimited users, mutual action plans, and room for several deals at once.
- Aligned — free rooms behind an email check and a password, with a deal plan, and the most demo tools it can embed.
- Flowla — the most free rooms for one person, and a paid plan with no minimum number of seats.
- Roomi (ours) — when the thing you send is a working demo: it runs your app, gives each person a link, and shows their time on each app and page. It is not a full deal room: there is no mutual action plan, and a CRM connection is only by arrangement on Enterprise.
- HummingDeck — hosts HTML files and documents together, with a personal link for each recipient from its Starter plan.
- Journey — one tidy page of materials, at a low price for each user.
- Dock — strong for a revenue team, but its first paid plan is priced for five users.
- Pitch — if you already make your decks there, its rooms and advanced links track each slide.
Roomi against Trumpet sets the first and the fourth side by side.
What does a small team need from a sales room?
A small team needs four things. A free plan or a low price for each user, with no five-seat minimum. A deal plan both sides can see, if the deal has several steps. Knowing who opened what, by name, not just a count of views. And, if you sell something you built, the product itself.
- A price that fits one to five people. Per-user prices add up fast, and some plans start at five seats.
- A deal plan both sides can see. A mutual action plan lists who does what by when. It earns its place when a deal has several steps and several people. Our mutual action plan template is one to copy.
- Names, not counts. A view count says someone looked. A name says who to call.
- The product, if it is the point. If you sell software you built, a recording of it is a second-best. The buyer should be able to try it.
Which sales rooms have a free plan?
Most of them do, each with a limit on rooms or documents. Trumpet’s allows unlimited users, Aligned’s counts rooms for each user, and Flowla’s has the most rooms for one person. Dock’s counts workspaces, and HummingDeck’s is the smallest. Pitch’s has no rooms, Journey offers only a trial, and Roomi’s has no private links.
- Trumpet. Trumpet’s Free plan is free for good, with 10 Pods per account, unlimited users, mutual action plans and basic analytics.
- Aligned. Aligned’s free Starter plan gives each user up to 4 active rooms at a time, with mutual action plans and rooms shared behind an email check and a password.
- Flowla. Flowla’s Starter plan is free, with up to 20 rooms and mutual action plans.
- Dock. Dock has a free plan with 10 workspaces. Dock Standard is $350 a month for five users, with extra seats at $50 a month; the page does not say how Standard is billed.
- HummingDeck. HummingDeck’s Free plan has 5 documents, 5 links and 1 deal room, with no time limit.
- Pitch. Pitch’s Free plan has basic sharing links, and no advanced links or pitch rooms.
- Journey. Journey’s pricing page lists no free plan: each paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
- Roomi. Free deploys static demos. A project is a draft only your workspace opens, or listed publicly on the community, with total views as its only analytics. A private link for each person starts on Pro.
Can a sales room show the product, not just slides about it?
Most sales rooms show a product by embedding it: they show a page hosted somewhere else, inside the room. That works for a tour made in a demo tool, or a public page. A few tools host the product themselves. HummingDeck hosts HTML files, and Roomi hosts static builds and apps with a server.
- Embedding. Trumpet lists Navattic, Storylane, Walnut and Arcade among its integrations, for interactive demos shown inside a Pod. Aligned rooms can embed Storylane, Walnut, Navattic and Demostack demos, and Figma files and prototypes. Qwilr’s Embed Widget can show content that allows embedding; when a site does not allow it, Qwilr says that is something it cannot control.
- Hosting. HummingDeck turns an uploaded HTML file or zip bundle into a browser link. Personal links, each for one recipient with its activity kept apart, start on its Starter plan. Roomi runs a static build on every plan. On Pro and up, it runs an app with a server, with a fresh copy for each viewer link.
Can a digital sales room show a live product? explains the difference, and what each tells you about what the buyer did.
What happened to Recapped?
Recapped’s pricing page says it was shutting down on 31 July 2026 and taking on no new customers. If a list of sales rooms still recommends it, that list has not been checked since, and the rest of what it says may be out of date too.
Do you need a sales room and a demo room?
Many small teams will use both. The sales room carries the deal: the plan, the proposal, the messages. The demo room carries the product. Say in the sales room where the demo is, and send each buyer their own link to it. A Roomi room refuses to be shown inside another site’s frame, so a link is the way in.
A link each, sent to that person, beats one link pinned up for everyone. Anyone who has an address can open the room, and the room only knows who is there because it asks. A link each keeps every visit under the right name, and lets you close one without the rest. Sharing a private link shows how, and how to send a demo instead of a deck covers what to write with it.
Start with the demo. Deploy it on Free and open it as a viewer would. Then, on Pro, make the first person their own link.
Questions people ask
Is there a free digital sales room?
Yes. Trumpet, Aligned, Flowla, Dock and HummingDeck each have a free plan, with limits on rooms or documents. Roomi’s Free plan can list a demo publicly, but it has no private links.
What is the difference between a sales room and a data room?
A data room holds documents for due diligence, with strict access and a record of every file opened. A sales room is for winning the deal: the materials, the next steps and who engaged, shared with the buyer.
Can I put my app in a digital sales room?
Most sales rooms can embed a page hosted somewhere else, if that page allows it. To keep the app private and see each person’s time in it, host it in a room built for demos and link to it.
