Qwilr or Roomi: a proposal or a working demo?
Qwilr turns a proposal into a web page with quotes, an acceptance block and alerts when it is viewed. Roomi runs the product the proposal is about, with a link for each person and their time in it on record. Send Qwilr when the thing to agree is the price; send Roomi when they should try the product. Many agencies could use both. Every line about Qwilr is from its own pages, with the day it was read. Roomi is ours.
Where Roomi is different
- Roomi tracks a working product, not a document about one
- A guided tour, and comments pinned to the screen, as well as page views
- The same person-by-person view: who opened it, who they passed it to, and what they want next

For letting a client try the product before they sign, ranked
Ranked for one job: a client trying a working product, and you knowing what they did. Roomi is ours.
- Roomi (ours) — your own build, running, at a private link for each person, with nothing to sign up for. You see every visit, click and minute, by name.
- Qwilr — best when you’re sending proposals and quotes to be accepted, rather than showing a product.
- A screen recording — easy to send, but they watch you use it rather than try it. Loom names a viewer only when they watch while logged in to Loom. Anyone else shows as an anonymous view.
- Screenshots in a deck — no setup at all, and nothing to click. A deck tells you, at best, that it was opened.
Questions
- Can I put a Roomi demo inside a Qwilr page?
- Not inside it: a Roomi room refuses to be shown in another site’s frame. Qwilr’s Embed Widget can show content that allows embedding; when a site does not allow it, Qwilr says that is something it cannot control. Send each person their own link to the demo, beside the proposal.
- Can I use Qwilr and Roomi together?
- Yes. The proposal goes in Qwilr, and the product goes beside it. Make each person their own Roomi link and send it with the proposal, rather than one link for everyone: each link carries one person’s name.
- Is there a free alternative to Qwilr?
- For tracking a PDF proposal, Papermark has a free plan. Every Papermark plan, Free included, has page-by-page analytics and unlimited visitors. Free holds up to 50 documents. Roomi’s Free plan runs a static demo that can be listed publicly, but it has no private links.
- How much does Qwilr cost, against Roomi?
- Qwilr’s Starter plan is $49 a user a month, billed monthly, or $35 a user a month, billed annually, and includes one seat. Roomi Pro is £4 a month, billed monthly, or £40 a year, billed yearly, before VAT.
- Do Qwilr and Roomi both work with Claude?
- Qwilr’s Starter plan lists an AI assistant integration through MCP. Roomi’s connector deploys the demo and makes each person’s link from the chat you built it in.
- Does my client need a Roomi account?
- No. Their link takes them straight into the room, with nothing to sign up for. The link is their key, and it carries their name.
- What does Roomi cost?
- Free costs nothing: static demos, listed on the community at one public address, with total views. A private link per person and everything each person did start on Pro, at £4 a month or £40 a year, before VAT.
- Do I have to tell a client their visit is recorded?
- Yes. Before or when you send the link, tell each viewer who you are and how to reach you about their data. Tell them too that Roomi records what they do in the room and shows it to you. Our terms ask for both.
- Will I hear when a client comes back?
- Yes. Roomi tells you when they come back to the room, so you can call while it’s fresh.

- What are the best tools to track who viewed your proposal?: The tools that tell you who opened a proposal, what they read and for how long, compared on free plans, prices and what else each does.
- How can you tell if a client has actually looked at your proposal?: Read receipts are unreliable. How tracked links work, what they can and cannot tell you, and how to see which parts a client spent time on.
- How do you send a working demo instead of a pitch deck?: Swap the slides for the real thing: trim a demo to what matters, write a short tour, send one link per person and follow up on what they did.
